     Voici une autre oeuvre de la série des "Seize Fleurs de Manet", la plus petite de la série et peinte de la plus délicate façon, entièrement dans les tons violets, et que Manet réalisa rapidement, en mélangeant le bleu outremer, le carmin d'alizarine et le blanc, aussi bien directement sur la toile  que sur la palette.

     Another of the "Sixteen Flowers of Manet" : this one is the smallest of the group and the most delicately painted, all in the violet tones which Manet made quickly, on the palette and on the canvas, by intermixing ultramarine blue, alizarine crimson and white.
